We kept our guys busy working projects in Oklahoma, Texas, Iowa, Missouri, & in our home state of Mississippi this year. We were called out on Ice storms in MS & MA, Wind storm in MA, Tropical Storm Bill across Texas, Hurricane Joaquin along New England, & a tornado in MS. On Christmas Eve, we were called to north MS where we saw the most damage of all this year from a tornado that had hit. Those are the jobs that hit you the hardest. Opening presents was hard on Christmas morning knowing there were people who just lost their homes and the count of lives lost was steadily increasing. On a lighter, more personal update, Michael's little brother Chris had his second double lung transplant. Everything went great! Chris and his family have moved back to MS. He had a few complications and a brief scare with acute rejection, but he stays positive and overcomes everything he keeps getting hit with. We are proud to announce that Chris is now working at the office with us! Around June, we had the pleasure of taking in 2 of the sweetest kids ever. They spent about 6 crazy months with us, but were able to go home just in time for Christmas. We're sure gonna miss them, but are so glad they are able to be back home. We sponsored Brayden's 6-7yr old coach pitch baseball team. We had a great group of boys and families that joined us this year. They took 2nd place in the Dog Tag Tournament, and ended the year as the league champions for their division. All in all, we had a pretty great year, and are looking forward to what 2016 will bring us.

![]() While many little boys aspire to become firemen, cowboys, army men or policemen, most little girls dream of becoming a princess, teacher, doctor, or vet. However, there are a special breed of females who want the challenge of a more physical vocation. Harley Rawles, is a lineman trainee who recently went on a storm call with Gray’s Power Supply. You might think woman lineman are rare, but believe it or not, there are lots of young women who admire the trade and dream of becoming linemen. Harley experienced the admiration from one such little girl on a recent storm restoration in Dallas, Texas. At a stop off I-20 in Minton, Texas, a young mother with her daughter approached the crew while they were in the restaurant. The mother told them that her 5 year old daughter was intrigued with electrical workers, bucket trucks, and digger trucks and wanted to talk to them about their work. Not realizing that girls could be linemen, imagine her surprise and delight when she met Harley!! As the family departed, there was one happy 5 year old girl proudly holding her Grays Power Supply tee shirt and having a new found HEROINE. ![]() Grays Power Supply 6yr old baseball team had a great season this year. They won 2nd place in the Dog Tag Tournament, as well as ending the season as the 2015 6yr old Leag Below is the most adorable video of our boys from this season. I promise it'll be worth the 13 minute commitment! These little boys are awesome! ![]() Michael's brother Chris had his 2nd double lung transplant on May 13th. The transplant was a success, however he is still in the recovery process. Chris continues to be in and out of the hospital dealing with pain and fever coming from an unknown cause. Please continue to keep him and his family in your prayers and we want to thank every one for all the love, support, and prayers we have received during this past year. Below is a video Tausha put together of Chris from his first transplant to the one he just had. We have got a lot going on these days and are grateful for every opportunity that is coming our way.
We have jobs going on in Iowa, Missouri, Texas, and Mississippi. If you are looking for work or know someone who is, give us a call, shoot us a message, or stop by our office. Just a heads up for those interested, CDL's and a good attitude are a requirement! For us, 2014 has been a great year for contract jobs, but a slow year for storms. We are glad to announce we have already got several jobs coming up in the new year!
In other news, not only is 2014 coming to an end but so is our treasured Marybeth's time with us. She will be going back to school, to be a Nurse Practitioner. We will miss her dearly but wish her the best of luck! Marybeth, come back and visit us, but make sure you bring donuts! Thanks again to all the guys and girls that have worked with us this year! We appreciate you all and are looking forward to what the new year will bring! Storms have been slow this summer, but contracts have been plentiful!
After hitting two storms, we spent the majority of our time in Iowa, doing re-conduct and pole change outs to 4 miles of 115KV line. We are now planning on enjoying our fall in Oklahoma working on distribution and pole change outs. We'd like to thank our guys for all the hard working time they have put into these jobs, and their families for keeping the home front going while they are away. Below is a video made to promote our upcoming Duck race to help raise money for Chris Gray for living and medical expenses as he waits for a second double lung transplant. Michael's little brother is in the process of trying to get his second double lung transplant. Over the next several months, we will be doing fundraisers to help raise money for his medical expenses. If you can help in anyway, it would be appreciated. If not, prayers are great too! To read more about his story click on the links below!
