Hurricane Isaac made landfall August 28th, 2012 in Louisiana, one day from the 7yr anniversary of Katrina. Not long after it made landfall, it pushed back into the gulf, before making landfall a second time. Isaac was taking its sweet time, moving 6ph, causing major flooding for Louisiana, and Mississippi. Isaac, now a tropical depression, continues to cause destruction as it moves northwest thru the country.
Our crews rode out the storm in the city of Plaquemine. They worked thru the storm before and as the eye passed over at 4:30pm. Plaquemine has a little of 12,000 customers, our crews helped restore 99% of the power within 12 hours.

Looks like we have our first major storm of the season and its headed towards the Gulf of Mexico. Crews all over the country are already being called to be held on standby preparing for the damage that may inflict FL, AL, & MS. Tropical Storm Issac is predicted to become a hurricane Tuesday Morning.
We, here at Grays Power Supply, are monitoring the storm round the clock, as well as preparing our departure. We plan on leaving out for Daytona Beach, FL. tommorrow. |
